Matt Lynaugh,
one of four musicians:
Bill listens well, which means he
communicates well. Which really helped us.
Bill likes
bouncing ideas around in search of the right solution.
Bill was careful with our money.
Bill likes good coffee (in the morning) and tea (in the
afternoon).
Keith Kachtick, porch
percher: Bill Albrecht
is more than a contractor. He's a veritable Dwelling
Whisperer, creatively luring out of your home or office
more design possibilities than you ever could have
imagined. Whether working with you to design
bookshelves or a new kitchen counter, an expanded bathroom
or an Asian-styled screened porch, a modern
work-station or a meditation niche in your studio,
Bill's touch, care, and craftsmanship are genuinely
zen-like. I cannot recommend him highly
enough.
Sibby
Barrett, donkey owner: Bill and I worked together on a little
"donkey barn" project--nothing big, but we had some very
specific needs that needed to be met. We had a
general area in the corral that we felt the barn needed to
be in, but we had a little wiggle room. Bill
very thoughtfully sited the barn taking into
consideration, drainage, sun and wind exposure, shade
and low hanging oak limbs as well as "drive up appeal".
Yes, even donkeys need drive up appeal! We
wanted something that would hold up to the weather, yet not
look brand new. Bill just happened to have some old
weathered tin siding at his place that at one time,
belonged to a freed slave descendent, an old gentleman
that, ironically, was born on our property not 50
yards from the donkey barn site. The old tin, mixed
with a new red metal roof, cedar posts and rainwater
collection combined to make our perfect barn!
Complete with hay and grain storage, sliding
donkey-proof barn door and hinged windows for a funky yet
functional final product--and all within ridiculous budget
constraints! Bill, you are the barn-god,
thanks
