challenges:The
back door exits high off the house. Canine traffic; Sammy
the dog needs to go in and out of the house without
muddying the porch.
solution:A
10'x12' screened porch with a nod to the client's Asian
propensities. Putting the few steps needed inside the
porch, keeps the entry near the house and gets the deck
down to a reasonable altitude. Cover, but keep the
exisitng walkway exterior to the porch for Sammy.
greatest
success:Have
a seat, it's a wonderful spot. During the warm, greener
months of the year, the porch is surprisingly private and
surrounded by a very leafed natural feel.
